Ensure Educational Excellence and OHS Compliance with Sancert
Sustainability is no longer optional, it’s a business imperative. ISO 14001 provides a globally recognised framework for managing environmental impact, improving resource efficiency and demonstrating your commitment to responsible operations.
We help organisations embed environmental responsibility into their daily operations, not just for compliance, but for long-term performance and credibility. Whether you’re pursuing certification for the first time or transitioning to a more responsive certification partner, we make the process practical, efficient, and aligned to your business.
ISO 14001 is the international standard for Environmental Management Systems (EMS). It provides a structured approach for identifying, managing, monitoring and improving your organisation’s environmental performance.
The standard focuses on reducing environmental impact, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement. From energy use and waste management to emissions and resource efficiency, ISO 14001 helps organisations take control of their environmental footprint in a measurable and accountable way.
ISO 14001 certification is relevant for organisations of all sizes and sectors, particularly those looking to improve environmental performance and meet regulatory expectations.
It is valuable for organisations that:
ISO 14001 delivers both environmental and business value:
Systematic management reduces waste, emissions, and resource use.
Stay aligned with environmental laws and avoid penalties.
Efficient use of energy and materials lowers operational costs.
Demonstrates commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices.
Identifies and mitigates environmental risks before they escalate.
Strengthens your position in tenders and global supply chains.
Sancert is an internationally accredited certification body, holding SANAS accreditation.

ISO 14001:2015
The outgoing edition of the standard, and still widely held across certified organisations. Certification is valid for three years, with annual surveillance audits to maintain compliance.
ISO 14001:2026
Published on 15 April 2026, ISO 14001:2026 replaces the 2015 edition and is now the current version of the standard. Organisations certified to ISO 14001:2015 have a three-year transition period, ending in May 2029.
Our process is designed to be structured, efficient, and low-impact on your operations:
We access your organisation and define the scope of your EMS.
We evaluate your environmental policies, processes, and readiness.
We assess how your EMS operates in practice, including environmental controls and performance.
Any nonconformities are identified and resolved efficiently.
Your ISO 14001:2015 certificate is issued – typically within 10 working days.
Annual audits ensure continued compliance and performance improvement.
